Drew this today. I did the whole thing in Photoshop. I usually prefer drawing the old fashion way and doing touch up, coloring etc on the computer, but I like how this turned out. Plus I dont have a scanner and Im getting tired of paying 10 bucks for every scan.

I had to make a maquette in school and got really into it, so I decided to make another for the fun of it. This is what I came up with. I enjoy sculpting alot, maybe more than drawing, which makes me alittle nervous becasue I went to school to draw comics...
When making this I followed this tutorial by Smellybug at Conceptart.org pretty much step by step. If you have any interest in this kind of stuff definitely chek it out, way cool.

Unfortunately, this guy was never quite finished. Hes close, but there was some fine tuning I didnt get to before I moved back to California. I couldnt ship him with out baking him, and I didnt want to bake him becasue he wasnt done, so I left him with a friend.

Im sorry that my only post in almost two months (wow!) is not a happy one, but this is something everyone needs to know about (not that anyone reads this lol).
The current copyright laws protect anything you create from the moment you create it, without you having to do anything. From sketches to finished paintings, anything you doodle, photograph, etc. is exclusively yours. As artists, we rely on this simple and logical right to make a living. This bill would strip that right from all intellectual property created by artists of all types. Under this bill, you would need to PAY to register EVERY piece of YOUR OWN work with a copyright register, or risk having it stolen by anybody and everybody with no consequences. Please watch the video because I cant even begin to describe just how outrageous this bill really is. Do something here

Now that Ive graduated and on the job prowl (kind of) its begining to seem like I have a very poor judment on what poeple like and dont like. Im not sure if its my tastes, or i just suck. But I do know its discouraging. Does every one feel like this? Am I just too concerned with what other people think? I know its impossible to make everyone happy, but I thought could please most of them.

Hey, sorry for the lack of posting, but it is finnals. So close, yet so little time. Well if you havent checked the Friends and Coolness links (and even if you have) there is one i would like to call to you attention. Fist-A-Cuffs, "Where drawings are voted to the death and the streets run black with ink." Yes, it is a tourament where artist drawings fight to the death, and one of them is mine! Although he is not doing so good and needs your help, but I cant tell you which one it is, thems the rules. But I know you will choose wisely. Fist-A-Cuffs, under Friends and Coolness, check it out.
This drawing is NOT my fighter and was done awhile ago, but I did use the same method in which I literly just scribble, and as the scribbling builds up, shapes and forms emerge.

Last year I participated in a special topics class that was also a contest to be published in the comic The Ride, put out by 12 Gauge Comics. The cool thing about The Ride is that each issue of is broken into chapters, each of which is drawn by a different artist, essentially a mini anthology. Any way, the writers for The Ride wrote up a script just for this class, which was broken into three chapters. Everyone in the class got one of the eight page chapters to draw (eight pages in ten weeks doesn’t sound like much, but with two other classes it was plenty.) Everyone penciled and inked their chapter throughout the quarter, and at the end some people from 12 Gauge came over to look at all of our toils and pick the best of each chapter to be published as The Ride: Savannah (I got to meet Brian Stelfreeze and Doug Wagner) Well guess what? I got in! (The pages in the link are of the first chapter only, done by Mike Bear. I did the second chapter.) The finished book is finally coming out this latter this month. I have heard as soon as the 18th and as late as the 25th. I don’t know, but its coming. Please, go and pick one up, help support up and coming artists. All proceeds go to the Sequential Art scholarship fund hear at Savannah College of Art and Design.
